Hortus Amicus w/ Izabelė • I Vol: Nigella sativa • 2026.03.15
Nigella sativa - Sėjamoji juodgrūdė, black cumin, Roman coriander, or fennel flower, is an annual garden plant native to Iran and Palestine, traditionally used in their cuisines. It is a sister of Nigella damascena, known as love-in-a-mist or devil-in-a-bush. The “herb from heaven” was used in the mummification process in ancient Egypt. Today, we use it for its antioxidant thymoquinone, which helps reduce inflammation, protects your memory, improves asthma and male fertility.
