baby g, curator of the event series b:3tter irl and host of ◦key/sync• on echobox radio, started playing as a way of processing competing emotions and translating what no words could express into transcendental sets. With an eye for the creative overall picture and a stimulating sound palette, she contrasts dark electronics with glittering beams of light, influenced by her chaotic Swedish and Lebanese perspective, and characterized by textured, nostalgic, and futuristic sounds with heavily pulsating bass that encapsulate the room. In this mix, baby ganoush challenges her patience by showing a more minimal side of her sound. With this mind massage of a set, she imagines a euphoric, dark, misty and transcendental metamorphosis from night into dawn, whether in the middle of a meadow in the forest or in a smokey club where the morning light slowly peaks through foggy windows.
About
Lauden puts the soundtrack to the afterglow of a long-lasting dance. Inspired by Umberto Eco's novel The Name Of The Rose, Lauden marks the transition from night into day, ending at dawn. The overall mood is melancholic, traversing through genres and energy levels, primarily but not restricted to electronic music. Expect ambient as well as jungle, dub to slowcore, grime to jazz, anything goes.
During this monthly show, every first Friday of the month from 17:00-18:00, the Lauden sound will be showcased by either me or by different talented artists, who I will invite to serve their musical take on Lauden.
