NAR (Nar Angel Rokh) is an Iranian-American artist, music producer, and DJ based in New York City. Described as “hard-edged, intensely spiritual and immaculately produced” NAR’s distinctive musical style fuses middle eastern soundscapes from their Iranian heritage with club-bass undertones from their American upbringing. A multi-instrumentalist since their early childhood in Los Angeles, NAR cultivated their skills touring and recording with numerous bands before ultimately solidifying their passion as a producer and DJ. Their unconventional aesthetic pushes the boundaries of both audio and visual mediums, showcased in their individual work as well as in collaborative projects like burqa. They recently caught the attention of Rihanna, who selected them to compose the original scores for the latest Fenty Beauty by Rihanna campaigns.

NAR has toured Europe, Asia and the US, opening for critically acclaimed artists such as Future, Sophie, Kelela, Mykki Blanco, and Total Freedom among others. They have performed at major art institutions across the globe including the Istanbul and Performa Biennials, Miami Art Basel, ICA, New Museum and MoMa. NAR has also curated runway music for Gypsy Sport, Kaimin, LRS, and Yajun NYFW presentations. Most recently, they performed at iii points festival, Boiler Room and Red Bull music festival. NAR’s upcoming projects include a full-length album, a remix EP, music videos, more collaborations and official remixes.
