In this episode, we travel back to February 2026, when we attended “Pastoral Conspiracy”: Gathering and Theoretical Meeting in Prague, organised by Woods – Community for Cultivation, Theory, and Art, an association of people working across ecology, theory, art, and activism. We’ll hear excerpts from conversations and discussions recorded during the gathering, featuring interdisciplinary artists Rūta Putramantaitė, Ida Elastic, Eszter Koncz, Alex Sihelsk, and Kateřina Žák Konvalinová; curator Katalin Erdődi; ecologist Francesca Pasetti; sheep shearer Michaela Hyklová; and pastoralist Maria Kohut. The programme also includes excerpts from Ida Elastic’s sound performance and a folk song performed by Piotr ir Maria Kohutovi, ir Michal and Danuta Milerski. Let your ears be grazed. Perhaps the village and the animals are long-forgotten thoughts and memories, or perhaps they are places you have never visited or experienced. The three creators of this program follow the sheep and stories of the “Verpėjos” art residency in Kabeliai, a village in southern Lithuania.
