John Carroll Kirby is a keysman, composer and producer, who’s been enlisted by the names as Frank Ocean, Harry Styles and Solange Knowles, whose albums ‘A Seat at the Table’ and ‘When I Get Home’, were shaped in part by Kirby. Even though these collaborations are fascinating, the main highlight is Kirby’s personal work, which definitely leaves a footprint on the jazz scene of this era.
